www.legalconsultingmanagedservices.com is a website (Site) operated by ComplyFOI (Legal and Consulting Managed Services Pty Ltd) ACN 632 590 759 of Suite 03, Level 2, 11 London Circuit, Canberra ACT 2601 (we, us and our).
ComplyFOI is an end-to-end Freedom of Information (FOI) case management platform developed by Nuvento Pty Ltd in partnership with Jones Hope Legal & Advisory under the joint venture Legal and Consulting Managed Services (LCMS). It is designed for use by government agencies and public authorities subject to FOI obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and equivalent state and territory legislation. This Site provides information about the ComplyFOI platform and its capabilities.

By using our Site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Site.
These terms apply to all users of our Site, including visitors, registered users and any entity accessing the Site on behalf of an organisation.
03We may make changes to these terms
We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our Site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
Where changes are material — including changes relating to our use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, data handling practices, or your rights regarding AI-generated content — we will provide prominent notice on our Site.
04We may make changes to our Site
We may update and change our Site from time to time to reflect changes to our products, our users' needs, changes in law and our business priorities. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any major changes.
Our Site may incorporate AI-powered features and tools. These features may be updated, modified or withdrawn as our technology evolves, and we do not warrant that any particular AI feature will remain available.
05We may suspend or withdraw our Site
Our Site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our Site, or any content on it, will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our Site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our Site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and comply with them.
06Eligibility to use our Site
Our Site is directed to users who are residing in and using this Site within Australia. We do not represent that content available on or through our Site is appropriate for use or available in other locations. If you access our Site from outside Australia, you do so at your risk and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
This Site is directed at Australian government agencies and public authorities. The ComplyFOI platform is not available to private individuals or commercial entities that are not subject to applicable FOI legislation, except with the express written agreement of LCMS.
07How you may use our Site
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Site, and in the material published on it, including all trademarks, related names, logos, product and service names, designs and slogans. Those works are protected by copyright and trademark laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our Site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others to content posted on our Site. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way.
You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:
- use the Site in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the Site;
- use any robot, spider or other automatic device, process or means to access the Site for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the material on the Site;
- use any manual process to monitor or copy any of the material on the Site without our prior written consent;
- use any automatic or manual process to reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Site;
- use any device, software or routine that interferes with the proper working of the Site;
- introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, spyware, or material which is malicious or technologically harmful;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, damage or disrupt any parts of the Site, the server on which the Site is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to the Site;
- attack the Site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack;
- use any AI, LLM, automated scraping or data harvesting tool to extract, aggregate or repurpose content from this Site without our express written consent; or
- otherwise attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site.
We may report any of the above activities to relevant law enforcement authorities and will cooperate by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our Site will cease immediately.
08Artificial Intelligence (AI) — content and tools
ComplyFOI incorporates AI-assisted features to support FOI case processing, document triage, redaction assistance, exemption suggestion, and case management workflows. By using this Site, you acknowledge:
- (a) AI-assisted features within ComplyFOI are decision-support tools only. All FOI decisions — including decisions to grant, refuse or defer access, and decisions to apply exemptions — must be made by an authorised decision-maker in accordance with applicable FOI legislation. AI outputs must never be treated as determinative.
- (b) ComplyFOI's AI features are designed to operate on government information. Agencies using AI-assisted features are responsible for ensuring their use complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), applicable FOI legislation, and the OAIC's guidance on privacy and the use of commercially available AI products.
- (c) AI redaction assistance and exemption suggestions are indicative only and require review and confirmation by an authorised officer before any document is released or withheld.
In particular: AI-generated content on this Site is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, financial, technical or regulatory advice. AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information. Content on this Site must not be used as training data for any AI or machine learning model without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or remove AI-powered features at any time without notice and without liability.
09Platform and product access
Access to the ComplyFOI platform is available only to government agencies and approved public authorities under a formal subscription or licence agreement with LCMS Pty Ltd. This marketing and information Site does not constitute access to the platform. Platform access is subject to: (a) a separate Software as a Service Agreement; (b) applicable data handling and information security schedules; and (c) compliance with government information security requirements including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the Australian Government's cloud security guidance.
Agencies wishing to process information must contact LCMS to discuss appropriate deployment options.
10Intellectual property in AI-generated content
All intellectual property rights in the ComplyFOI platform, including its FOI workflow engine, AI-assisted redaction and exemption tools, case management architecture, and associated documentation are owned by Nuvento Pty Ltd or its consortium partners. Publication of information about ComplyFOI on this Site does not constitute a licence or grant of rights in that intellectual property.
Government agencies using the ComplyFOI platform retain ownership of all documents, records and data they process through the platform. LCMS does not claim any ownership or rights in agency records or FOI request data.
11Do not rely on information on this Site
This Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Site.
The content on our Site is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our Site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our Site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.
12We are not responsible for websites we link to
Where our Site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources, and you access third party websites entirely at your own risk.
This includes links to or integrations with third-party AI platforms, large language model (LLM) providers, or AI-powered tools. We are not responsible for the accuracy, outputs or data practices of any third-party AI service.
13Data use, privacy and AI processing
ComplyFOI is designed to process government records, which may include personal information and sensitive information. The platform is operated in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), applicable government information security policies, and the OAIC's guidance on privacy and AI. LCMS does not use agency records or FOI request data to train AI models.
Data processed within the ComplyFOI platform is handled in accordance with the applicable data handling schedule and is not shared with unauthorised third parties. Do not submit, upload or share classified government information through this public-facing Site or via contact forms linked from this Site.
Our collection and handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on this Site. Your use of this Site constitutes acceptance of that Privacy Policy.
14Limitation of liability
In no event will we, our related bodies corporate or their licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, our Site, any websites linked to it, any content on our Site, or any services or items obtained through our Site, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages.
This limitation expressly includes any reliance on platform capability descriptions published on this Site. In particular, we accept no liability arising from: (a) use of AI-assisted redaction or exemption suggestions without adequate human review; (b) any FOI decision made on the basis of AI-generated recommendations; or (c) any non-compliance with FOI legislation arising from a user's use of or reliance on the ComplyFOI platform.
Nothing in this clause affects any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Where our liability cannot be excluded, we limit our liability to the fullest extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law.
15We are not responsible for viruses or security threats
We do not guarantee that our Site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses or any other type of malicious code or software. You are responsible for configuring your technology to access our Site. You should use your own antivirus software.
You must not attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any AI system, API endpoint or infrastructure connected to this Site, or circumvent any security or access-control measures we have put in place.
16Additional terms
ComplyFOI is designed for use by government agencies subject to FOI obligations. Agencies using the platform are responsible for: (a) ensuring their use of ComplyFOI complies with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and any applicable state or territory FOI legislation; (b) ensuring that all FOI decisions are made by appropriately authorised officers and are documented in accordance with statutory requirements; (c) providing adequate training to staff using AI-assisted features so that those staff understand the limitations of AI outputs and their obligation to apply independent judgement; and (d) complying with the Australian Government Agencies Privacy Code and any applicable Information Commissioner guidance on the use of AI in government decision-making.
LCMS does not provide legal advice on FOI compliance. Agencies should seek independent legal advice regarding their specific obligations.
17Rules about linking to our Site
You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
Our Site must not be framed or mirrored on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of our Site other than the home page. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.

18Australian law applies to disputes
These terms of use, their subject matter and their formation, are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. You and we both agree that the courts of the Australian Capital Territory will have exclusive jurisdiction.
